Clearly Christophe Decarnin lives in a magical world filled with gumdrop roads & candy cane trees, where he is completely unaware that we are in a recession.

We thank him. (I would like a one-way ticket to Christophe-land please.)

The royal purples & blues, gold lames & brocades Balmain paraded down the runway for FW 2010 felt every bit regal meets rock ‘n’ roll. I’m not sure if I am feeling inspired to curl up & watch “The Young Victoria” or “The Doors”.

Who ISN’T excited about seeing The September Issue? If you’re not completely thrilled to the gill to see it….you probably shouldn’t be reading this blog anyways. It comes out August 28th in NYC and September 11th in Los Angeles and select cities. (Clearly this tells you how superior NYC is to LA. Take the hint)

Although I would like to pull a Harry Potter move and stand in line for hours to see the first showing at midnight, dressed like Andre Leon Talley of course, I am not. I am showing true willpower and waiting until Sunday Funday to see it with the girls. I still might dress up like Andre though, go big or go home.

My heels broke and I couldn’t make it to a computer?

I missed my Jitney ride home from the Hamptons……..the past 5 weeks?

I’ve been hibernating & reading the September issues of Vogue & Elle?

I’ve been ‘stalking’ (I use that term loosely) Erin Wasson: Hotel Griffou, Hamptons, street corners…?

I gave up all worldly possessions and moved to Malawi?

The new season of The Rachel Zoe Project has held me captive in front of my TV?

Ok so not all of those excuses are true but there is a bit of truth in MOSTof them.

But have no fear, WIMH is here! Stay tuned for regular updates, this time I PROMISE.

I knew I was a swimmer for a reason…….isn’t THIS enough to convince you to spend 5 hours a day in an unheated pool in the dead of winter? (Well, winter in Arizona…..)
